Rush Street Interactive Enters the Online Casino Market in West Virginia
Rush Street Interactive, a provider of online gambling services, recently launched its flagship brand and online casino platform, BetRivers, in West Virginia, further extending its footprint across the US digital gaming market.
Through a collaboration with casino operator Century Casinos and its regional enterprise, Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in New Cumberland, the company has been allowed to access the state's gambling sector.
Late last year, Rush Street Interactive partnered with Century Casinos in a move that cemented its position in West Virginia and the rapidly expanding iGaming industry. Local players now have access to a variety of online slots and virtual versions of casino classics like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat thanks to the opening of the BetRivers site in the state.
Additionally, the website of Rush Street Interactive is the only one in West Virginia that offers no-charge bingo games that provide players the chance to win a variety of prizes. The operator claimed that, like other markets where its flagship business is offered, it will steadily increase its offering in West Virginia so that inhabitants of the state may constantly choose new content from a robust lobby.
Customers from the Mountain State of BetRivers will have access to Rush Street Interactive's gamified loyalty program, which enables its participants to use their loyalty points and possibly win more prizes by taking part in exclusive bonus games like online scratch cards, wheel spins, and bonus bingo.
I'm excited to move to West Virginia.
Rush Street Interactive President Richard Schwartz commented on the company's entry into the state, saying that they are thrilled to introduce their leading online casino brand to the state and that they look forward to "bringing high levels of transparency and convenience to West Virginians for years to come."
Mr. Schwartz continued by expressing gratitude to the West Virginia Lottery Commission for "their trust and relationship" and expressing the hope that they would be able to provide secure, convenient, and pleasant online gaming to West Virginians in the future from a reputable source.
The Mountain State is the most recent of many US jurisdictions where Rush Street Interactive has begun operating an online casino. Along with New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, West Virginia is now a location where the BetRivers platform is used.
The business ranked as the second-largest US online casino operator in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a recent report by gaming industry market researchers Eilers & Krejcik. It should be noted that Rush Street Interactive also operates in Colombia's legal online gaming sector and provides sports betting in eight states.
In order to list on the New York Stock Exchange, the business merged with special purpose acquisition firm dMY Technology Group in late last year.
